Most trailer runs need two kinds of strap: something heavy-duty for the main load and something quick for all the loose stuff around it. This kit has both.
What’s in the kit
- Rod Saver Heavy-Duty Ratchet Trailer Tie-Down, 2″ x 5′, pair. 2,400 lb capacity. Heavy vinyl-coated top hook made in America, zinc-plated bottom hook. Rod Saver built these for runabouts, pontoons and cuddy cabins.
- CargoBuckle Cam Buckle Tie-Downs, 1″ x 6′, 4-pack. Quick lock, simple release. Break strength 800 lbs, safe working load 267 lbs each.
Use each strap for its job. The 2″ ratchets carry the heavy load. The cam straps are light duty, for gear bags, coolers, a folded cover and the odd things that slide around a trailer floor. Don’t use them to hold down a vehicle.
Before a long tow, check the ratchet straps again after the first few miles, since loads settle.

Common Questions
How many tie-downs do I need for a motorcycle?
Most riders use four. This kit gives you two heavy-duty 2-inch ratchet straps for the main hold, plus four 1-inch cam buckle straps for gear, bags and anything that needs a quick snug-down.
What’s the difference between break strength and working load?
Break strength is where the strap fails. Working load is what you should actually put on it. The 1-inch cam straps here are rated 800 lbs break and 267 lbs working load each.
