Home / About Us
We're Joshua and Taylor Mezman, and Speedway Shelters is our small, family-owned American business. For more than 18 years we've built heavy-duty motorcycle shelters for riders across the USA and Canada. There's no call center here. When you email us, we answer it ourselves.
Our story
We didn't start out in motorcycles. Speedway Shelters grew out of more than two decades of designing and manufacturing extreme-weather camping tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks. We figured that if we could protect people in harsh outdoor conditions, we could protect motorcycles too.
A basic cover only goes so far, and plenty of riders needed something more reliable. So we built a waterproof cover on a 16-gauge steel frame that you can ride into with hot pipes and lock behind you. We pioneered the enclosed clamshell design, and some customers have been using the same frame for more than 12 years.
These days our shelters hold sport bikes, Harley baggers, trikes, and more, plus some golf carts if you measure yours first. You'll find them everywhere from snowy backyards to desert yards and apartment carports. We're based in Soquel, California, and we ship across the USA and Canada.
What we stand for
3/4" square-tube, 16-gauge steel frames and 600D urethane-coated covers with fully taped seams. Some of these frames have been in service for more than 12 years. See every feature.
Email us and the family that designs and ships every shelter writes back. Tell us the year and model of your bike and we'll help you pick the size. Prefer the phone? Call 831‑477‑9600, Mon–Fri, 9am–4pm PT.
The steel frame has a 10-year warranty. If a frame part gets bent, we replace it free of charge, and you cover the shipping. You deal with the same family that designs and ships it. See our warranty.
Shipping is calculated at checkout from UPS rates for your box's weight and destination, so you see the exact amount before you pay. Orders usually ship the next business day, and you'll get a tracking email when yours is on the way.
Email is the best way to reach us, and we reply to every message ourselves. Send us what you ride and where you plan to park it, and we'll take it from there. You can also call 831‑477‑9600, Mon–Fri, 9am–4pm PT.
