Hauling the bike to a rally, a shop or a new home? This 2″ x 15′ ratchet strap from CargoBuckle has the length to reach the anchor points on most trailers and pickup beds, and a corrosion-resistant solid steel core ratchet.
- 2″ wide, 15′ long. Sold as one strap.
- Break strength 2,500 lbs. Safe working load 833 lbs.
- Corrosion-resistant solid steel core ratchet.
- Vinyl-coated S-hooks that are easier on paint and powder coat.
Go by the working load, not the break strength. The 833 lb safe working load is the number that counts per strap. Most riders tie a bike down with four straps, two at the front and two at the rear, pulling down and slightly outward, and hook to solid frame points or soft loops instead of the bars or painted parts.
Before a long haul, check the straps again after the first few miles. They can settle as the suspension compresses.
Need a full set? Our Haul & Tie-Down Kit pairs heavy-duty 2″ ratchet straps with a 4-pack of 1″ cam buckle straps. And once the bike’s home, it needs somewhere to live: see which Speedway Shelter fits your bike.
Common Questions
How many ratchet straps do I need to tie down a motorcycle?
Most riders use four, two at the front and two at the rear. This CargoBuckle strap is sold as one, so plan on buying enough for your setup.
What’s the difference between break strength and working load?
Break strength is where the strap fails: 2,500 lbs on this one. Safe working load is what you should actually put on it: 833 lbs. Go by the working load.
Will S-hooks scratch my bike?
These S-hooks are vinyl-coated, which is easier on paint and powder coat. Still hook to solid frame points or soft loops, not the bars or painted parts.
