Trike Shelter: The Deluxe Fits Three Wheels

Trikes are wide at the back. A Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra is 54.7 inches across, and a Can-Am Spyder RT is 61.2. Our Deluxe Shelter is 78 inches wide and 138 long inside, so it's the one for trikes, Spyders and Rykers. Here are the numbers for four common three-wheelers.

Will my trike fit? The numbers

Our best-selling Touring is 54 inches wide inside. That's not enough for a factory trike's rear end, not even the 54.7-inch Tri Glide. The Deluxe gives you 78 inches, with room to walk around the back.

Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra

105.1" L x 54.7" W x 56.3" H

Fits the Deluxe: 23" of width and 33" of length to spare. Too wide for the Touring. Check the tour pack height (below).

Harley-Davidson Freewheeler

103" L x 55.3" W x 45.3" H

Fits the Deluxe: about 22.7" of width and 35" of length to spare.

Can-Am Spyder RT

109.3" L x 61.2" W x 57.6" H (Limited: 111.5" L)

Fits the Deluxe: about 16.8" of width and 26.5" or more of length to spare. Check the top case height (below).

Can-Am Ryker

92.6" L x 59.9" W x 41.7" H

Fits the Deluxe with room around it: about 18" of width and 45" of length to spare.

Trike sizes are 2025 specs from motorcycle.com's spec database. The Spyder F3 lists at 104 to 111" long and 58.9" wide, so it lands in the same range. Trunks, racks, hitches and trailers change the numbers, so go by your own tape measure.

Headroom inside the Deluxe, measured from the front

22" to about 91" back: 72" or more (78.75" at the peak, about 62" back)
102.5" back: 64.8"
115.7" back: 49.6"

A trike is tallest at the windshield, up front, where the roof is over 72" up. The part to check is the trunk at the back. Rule of thumb: if the top of your trunk is under about 55" tall and its back edge sits within about 110" of the front wall, it clears down the middle. The front wall leans in, so park the front tire a few inches back.

Measure your trike in 4 numbers

1. Width: the widest point, usually across the rear fenders or the front wheels on a Can-Am.
2. Length: front tire to the back of the trunk, hitch or rack.
3. Height: ground to the top of the windshield.
4. Trunk: ground to the top of the trunk, and front tire to the back edge of the trunk.

Pull a trailer? Unhook it before you park. The Deluxe is 138" long inside, and a trike plus a hitch takes most of that.

The Deluxe Shelter for your trike

A heavy-duty steel frame that folds back like a fan on a pivot hub, under a 600D urethane-coated polyester cover with taped seams. The cover locks closed. Eight anchor bolts come with it for concrete or asphalt, and setup takes about 20 to 30 minutes. The frame carries a 10-year warranty for the original owner.
