Most of the time a bike doesn’t need a full wash. It needs the dust off, a scuff gone and the seat wiped down. This motorcycle detailing kit covers those touch-ups between washes.
What’s in the kit
- Shurhold Serious Shine Quick Detailer, 14 oz. Cleans, polishes and protects paint, glass, vinyl seats and touch screens in one step, with no greasy residue. Anti-static, so dust doesn’t jump right back on.
- Meguiar’s ScratchX, 7 oz. Takes out light scratches, swirl marks, scuffs and paint transfer by hand or with a DA polisher. Clear coat safe.
- Meguiar’s M40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner, 16 oz. Brings faded vinyl and rubber back with UV protection and a natural sheen.
- Collinite Edgeless Microfiber Towels, 12-pack. 16″ x 16″, 80/20 blend, for wiping off detailer and polish with fewer streaks.
How we’d use it: spray and wipe the paint and screen with Serious Shine, work any scuffs out with ScratchX, then condition the seat and rubber trim with M40. Keep detailer and conditioner off grips, pegs and tire tread.
ScratchX handles light damage only, and it’s made for shiny paint, not matte. For a full wash, see the Bike Wash Kit, and keep the dust off between rides with a Speedway Shelter.
Common Questions
What do I need for a quick motorcycle detail?
A spray detailer, a scratch remover, a vinyl and rubber conditioner and clean microfiber. That’s this kit: Serious Shine, Meguiar’s ScratchX, Meguiar’s M40 and a 12-pack of Collinite towels.
Can I detail my bike without washing it?
For touch-ups between washes, yes. Shurhold Serious Shine cleans, polishes and protects in one step, and M40 conditions vinyl and rubber. On a dirty bike, wash it first.
Does the Quick Detail Kit remove scratches?
Light ones. Meguiar’s ScratchX removes fine scratches, swirl marks, scuffs and paint transfer and is clear coat safe. Scratches through the clear coat need more than this.
