Damp air is what leaves a stored bike musty, spotted and starting to corrode. This kit attacks it three ways, and the mildew remover cleans up anything that already took hold.
What’s in the kit
- Davis Air-Dryr 500. Plugs into a 110/120V outlet and gently warms the air so moisture stays suspended instead of settling. Rated for up to 500 cubic feet, draws 0.6 amps (70 watts), no fan or switch, silent, UL listed.
- Star brite No Damp Moisture Absorber, 36 oz. No power needed. Collects water in a container you empty.
- Star brite No Damp Hanging Bag, 16 oz. Hang it with room on both sides for air. Replace it when the white crystals are gone.
- 303 Mold & Mildew Stain Remover, 16 oz. No bleach. Safe on fabric, vinyl, plastic and painted surfaces.
Where each one goes. Put the Air-Dryr in a garage, shed or storage unit with an outlet. Don’t run it inside a fabric shelter or under a cover. Inside a shelter, use the two No Damp units, which need no power. Keep the No Damp away from leather and wood, because the liquid it collects damages both.
A dry bike starts with keeping the rain off it. See how a Speedway Shelter handles outdoor motorcycle storage without a garage.
Common Questions
How do I keep moisture out of my garage?
Use a mix. The Davis Air-Dryr 500 warms air in a garage, shed or storage unit with an outlet, while two No Damp absorbers pull moisture with no power. The kit includes mildew remover too.
Can I run an Air-Dryr in a motorcycle shelter?
No. Don’t run it inside a fabric shelter or under a cover. In a shelter, use the No Damp tub and hanging bag, which need no power. Keep the Air-Dryr for rooms with an outlet.
How long does a No Damp hanging bag last?
Until the white crystals are gone. Check it monthly. When the crystals have dissolved, hold the bag upright, throw it away and hang a new one.
