Dirt bike storage
A full-size motocross bike is about 86 inches long and 32.5 wide, with the seat near 38 inches up. It fits our Sport Shelter on length and width, but the Sport's roof drops low right where that tall rear fender ends. The Touring fits with room to spare. Here's the math, bike by bike.
Touring $490.95 · Sport $429.95
Dirt bikes are narrow, so width is never the problem. Length is fine too. What matters is height at the back. An MX bike carries its rear fender high, close to seat height, and our clamshell roof is tallest up front and slopes down toward the back. Here are four full-size bikes.
Honda CRF450R (2024): 85.9" L x 32.6" W x 49.9" H
Yamaha YZ450F (2025): 85.8" L x 32.7" W x 50.2" H, seat 38.0"
Kawasaki KX450 (2025): 85.8" L x 32.3" W x 50.0" H, seat 37.8"
Honda CRF250R (2025): 85.9" L x 32.6" W x 49.7" H, seat 37.6"
Sizes: Honda's 2024 CRF450R spec, and motorcycle.com's spec database for the 2025 YZ450F, KX450 and CRF250R. Bars, fenders and suspension setup change the numbers, so go by your own tape measure.
136" L x 54" W x 77.75" H inside
About 50" of length and 21" of width to spare. At 90" back the roof is still about 70" up, so the rear fender clears with room for a stand.
108" L x 43" W x 65.75" H inside
Length and width fit, and the bars clear the 62" front post. But the roof is down to about 40" at 90" back, right where an 86" bike's rear fender ends. Measure first.
14" back: 62.1" (front post)
44" back: 65.75" (peak)
69" back: 58.6"
80" back: 50.8"
90" back: 40"
95" back: 33.2"
24" back: 71.4"
61" back: 77.75" (peak)
88.5" back: 71.1"
101" back: 63.3"
114" back: 49.2"
120.5" back: 40.2"
Both front walls lean in, so the front tire parks a few inches back from the front edge. On an 86" bike that puts the rear fender tip about 90" back. In the Sport, that's where the roof is about 40" up. In the Touring, it's about 70".
1. Length: front fender tip to rear fender tip.
2. Rear fender height: ground to the tip of the rear fender, bike on its wheels.
3. Width: across the bar ends or hand guards.
4. Decide: rear fender tip under about 39" tall on an 86" bike? The Sport can work. Taller, or not sure? Get the Touring.
Park it on a stand? A stand lifts the whole bike a few inches. Measure the rear fender with the bike on the stand you'll use.
A 16-gauge steel frame that folds back like a fan on a pivot hub, under a 600D urethane-coated polyester cover with taped seams. The cover locks closed, so the bike and your gear stay out of sight. Six anchor bolts come with it for concrete or asphalt, and setup takes about 20 to 30 minutes. The frame carries a 10-year warranty for the original owner. We're a small American family business in Soquel, California, building these for 18+ years.

Sport or Touring for a 450? The Touring, unless you've measured the rear fender tip under about 39". The Touring is the sure fit, and it's $61 more.
Can I keep my gear in there too? In the Touring, yes. An 86" bike leaves about 4 feet of floor, and the roof drops toward the back, so stack boots and bags low.
Will two dirt bikes fit? Two bikes side by side is a job for the Deluxe, which is 78" wide inside. Two 32.6"-wide bikes come to about 65". Send us your numbers and we'll check them.
Can it sit on dirt or gravel? Yes, on a wood base. The shelter has no built-in floor, so it sits on whatever is under it. Our wood base guide has the cut list. The Touring base is 5 x 12 ft.
Is it secure enough to leave the bike in? The cover closes all the way and locks, so nobody walking past can see there's a race bike inside. Bolt the frame down with the anchor bolts on concrete or asphalt.
Got a street bike, quad or trike too? Check the fit guide or compare all three sizes on the size chart.
