Washing a motorcycle doesn’t take a giant bucket, but it does take one that won’t leak. The rope handle is the reason to buy this Shurhold. It doesn’t go through the bucket wall, so there’s no hole to leak and no metal handle to rust. The weight spreads across the base of the rope, so it won’t tear the lip when it’s full. The plastic is thick and heavily molded.

Which size?

• 3.5 gallon: 10.75″ high x 12″ wide. Easy to carry full and easy to stash on a shelf. It’s the bucket in our Bike Wash Kit.
• 5 gallon: 14.75″ high x 12″ wide. Holds plenty for soap or rinse water. On a boat, set it in the Shurhold Bucket Base (fits most 5-gallon pails) so it won’t slide, and add the Bucket Seat/Lid to sit on while you work.

The two-bucket wash: one bucket of soap, one of clean water to rinse the mitt before it goes back in the soap. The grit stays in the rinse bucket instead of going back on your paint. Run the 3.5 and the 5 gallon together and you’re set.
