303 Marine Fabric Guard

SKU CWR-FAM-FABRICGUARD Category Brand:

Price range: $25.99 through $124.99

Brings back the water and stain repellency on a motorcycle cover or shelter cover once rain stops beading up.

Ships separately from shelter orders.

Ships by ground to the lower 48 US states only.

Description

When rain stops beading on your motorcycle cover and starts soaking in, the fabric has lost its water repellency. 303 Fabric Guard puts it back. Spray it on clean, dry fabric and it restores water and stain repellency to factory levels, according to 303.

That goes for a slip-on bike cover or the cover on your Speedway Shelter cover.

Which size?

  • 16 oz: one motorcycle cover. The bottle to keep on the garage shelf.
  • 32 oz: big fabric: a full shelter cover, a couple of motorcycle covers, a second coat later, or a boat cover.
  • 1 gallon: fill a pump sprayer and do the bike covers, the shelter, the boat cover, the awnings and the patio cushions in one go. Shops, marinas, RV parks and riding clubs buy this size.
  • Protects against water-based and oil-based stains.
  • Safe for synthetic and natural fibers.
  • Doesn’t change the fabric’s color, feel, flammability or breathability. Breathing matters on a cover, because moisture trapped underneath is what grows mildew.
  • Also good on outdoor leather seats, boat covers, awnings and Dacron sails.
  • Made in the USA.

How to get it right: clean the cover first and let it dry all the way. Fabric Guard won’t stick to dirt. 303 suggests its Tonneau Cover & Convertible Top Cleaner or Multi-Surface Cleaner for that step. Test a small hidden spot, then work in even, overlapping passes.

303 doesn’t give a coverage figure, so pick the size by how much fabric you’re treating.

Common Questions

How do I get my motorcycle cover to shed water again?
Clean the cover, let it dry all the way, then spray 303 Fabric Guard in even passes. 303 says it restores water and stain repellency on clean, dry fabric to factory levels. Test a hidden spot first.

Will Fabric Guard change how my cover looks or breathes?
No. 303 says it doesn’t change a fabric’s color, feel, flammability or breathability. Breathing matters on a cover, since moisture trapped underneath is what grows mildew.

How much Fabric Guard do I need?
303 doesn’t give a coverage figure. The 16 oz handles one cover, the 32 oz suits a big shelter cover or a second coat, and the gallon refills a sprayer for boat covers, awnings and several bike covers. It’s the same formula in every size.
