Storing a motorcycle for months, or a whole year? Four things go bad while a bike sits: the gas, the battery, the vinyl and rubber, and the air around it. This kit handles all four.

What’s in the kit

• STA-BIL Fuel Stabilizer, 16 oz. Keeps gas fresh for up to 24 months, so you don’t have to drain the tank. 1 oz treats 2.5 gallons, so the bottle treats 40 gallons. Fill the tank about 95% and run the engine 5 minutes after adding it.
• Victron Blue Smart IP65 charger, 12V 10A. Seven-step charging, and Victron says it can stay connected permanently. Built-in Bluetooth lets you check the battery from your phone with the VictronConnect app.
• 303 Marine Aerospace Protectant, 32 oz. UV protection for the seat, rubber, plastic and helmet. Dries to a clear matte finish. Keep it off cover fabric; 303 says it isn’t for fabric or canvas.
• Star brite No Damp Ultra Dome, 24 oz. A moisture absorber that needs no power.

One catch: the Victron plugs into a wall outlet. If your bike lives in a shelter with no power nearby, take the battery inside to charge it, or use our Samlex solar SunCharger instead.

How do I keep a motorcycle battery charged in long-term storage?
Leave a smart charger on it. The Victron Blue Smart IP65 can stay connected, and you can check the battery from your phone over Bluetooth. It needs a wall outlet.

Can I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on my cover?
No. 303 says Aerospace Protectant isn’t for fabric or canvas. Use it on the seat, rubber, plastic and helmet. For cover fabric, use 303 Fabric Guard.
