A bike parked for months in a closed space sits in whatever damp air gets trapped with it. That’s where musty smells, stains and corrosion start. Star brite No Damp is a simple fix: set it down, let it pull moisture out of the air, and empty the water it collects.
It runs without power, which matters if your motorcycle storage spot has no outlet. Star brite built it for stored boats, RVs, seasonal homes and other enclosed spaces.
How it works
Pour the crystals from the pouch into the small inner cup.
As they absorb moisture, the water drips into the container below.
Check it now and then. Lift out the inner basket to pour off the water, and add No Damp refill crystals (Star brite #85400) when they run low.
Keep it away from leather. The collected liquid damages leather and wood, so set it on a level spot away from the seat, saddlebags and anything wooden. Refill it over a sink or newspaper. If it spills, flush the area with water and soak it up.
How often do I need to empty a No Damp? Check it now and then. When water collects in the container, lift out the inner basket and pour it off. Replace the crystals with Star brite refill #85400 when they run low.
Does a moisture absorber need electricity? No. Star brite No Damp works without power, which makes it a good fit for a motorcycle shelter or storage unit with no outlet. It pulls moisture from the air into a container you empty.
What if No Damp spills on my seat? Clean it up fast. The collected solution damages leather and wood. Star brite says to flush the area with water and soak it up with a damp sponge or towel. Keep the unit level and away from the seat.
