Wax off is where cheap towels let you down: they streak, they shed, and they take three passes. Collinite’s 80/20 blend edgeless microfiber towels are made for removal. They pick up wax, spray, polish and compound with high absorbency, so you get fewer streaks with fewer passes and less contact with the paint.
- 12 towels, 16″ x 16″.
- 80/20 blend, edgeless and tagless.
- Soft, high-thread microfiber for interior and exterior use.
- Removes waxes, sprays, polishes and compounds, plus dust and debris.
Use them for wiping off, not putting on. Collinite says not to use these to apply waxes, polishes or compounds. Use an applicator pad for that, then buff off with these.
A 12-pack lets you swap to a fresh towel as soon as one loads up, which is when streaks start. On a bike, keep a couple aside for wheels and lower engine so brake dust stays off the tank.
They’re part of our Quick Detail Kit with Serious Shine quick detailer, ScratchX and M40 conditioner.
Common Questions
What’s an 80/20 microfiber towel?
It’s the fiber blend. Collinite’s 80/20 edgeless towels are 16 x 16 inches, soft and durable, and built for removing waxes, sprays, polishes and compounds inside and out.
Can I use microfiber towels to apply wax?
Not these. Collinite says not to use them to apply waxes, polishes or compounds. They’re for removal: wiping off wax and detailer with fewer passes and less contact with the paint.
How many towels are in the Collinite pack?
Twelve edgeless, tagless towels. That’s enough to keep clean ones for paint, glass and interior, and they’re also in our Quick Detail Kit and Shelter Owner Kit.
